The Good Bakery
This project began after I saw a cool bakery website on Pinterest. I liked the browns and overall aesthetic so I decided to make my own bakery website. I wanted it to feel professinal and modern, but also have a cozy, neighborhood vibe to it. My first step was to search the internet and resources around me for some inspiration for a mood board. I begin all my design projects with a mood board because it helps me naroow down the base colors, feel, and structure of the design. Onve I had some ideas I created the low level wireframe in Figma and then moved on to the high level prototypes. This was my first time creating components in Figma and making a fully functional prototype.
I wanted to keep the site feeling modern and timeless, so I went with a thinner font and more whitespace. The logog was kept simple, with no color and only line work. I wanted a very elegant experience for users so I found images with darker backgrounds, a focus on the dish, and warm lighting to compliment the earth tones used throughout the site.
